Home Bodies

Home Bodies

What does it mean to feel at home in your body?

Created by choreographer and artist Sivan Rubinstein, Home Bodies is a participatory dance project exploring the body as a place of belonging, memory, creativity and care.

Combining movement, music and philosophy, the project investigates how our bodies hold our histories, transform through time and connect us to others. Developed with researchers at the University of Cambridge, and refugee and migrant communities in Cambridge and Bournemouth, Home Bodies creates inclusive spaces for creative exploration and connection beyond words.

The project will culminate in a new participatory dance performance, inviting audiences to reflect on home not simply as a physical place, but as something we carry within us and create together.

In a world shaped by displacement and change, Home Bodies asks how movement, presence and care might help us find belonging.
